
This three year project for Ford Foundation is telecast on Doordarshan, Gujarati and has been on October 2002. Over 350 hours of programming in all genres of television - fiction and non-fiction, music videos, interviews, quizzes, chat shows; on many aspects of women's issues including legal rights, health, career counseling, nutrition, social taboos and much more.
This project was undertaken by Darpana Communications, with the help of the Royal Netherlands Embassy, in order to bring in notions of tolerance and peace through the media of television. The programmes are telecast on DD-11, the Gujarati version of the national channel, Doordarshan. The language is usually Gujarati.
