Mallika Sarabhai's US lecture tour

Mallika Sarabhai and Yadavan Chandran have just completed a very successful lecture tour of colleges and institutions in New England. Presenting Darpana's work on using the arts for social change, they were at Lincoln Center, NYC; Dartmouth University; Connecticut College; Wheaton College; MIT; The New Center For Arts and Culture, Boston and Alfred Uiversity. Their talks dealt with Darpana's work on gender issues, non-violence and human rights. Students seemed very enthused and many have offered to come as interns. Mallika also presented Darpana's Studies Abroad programme, DIPAC, and had discussions with Wheaton College for a group of music, dance and politics majors to come in January 09
